Is this a for-profit or charity zine?
This will be a charity zine. Profits will go to a charity chosen by contributors.What is the zine's rating?
PG 16. Suggestive themes, blood/gore allowed. Contributors must be 18+.What’s the zine format?
A5 physical and digital zine. 70+ pages.What’s the zine’s theme?
We’re keeping it pretty general. Anything goes as long as it’s Nandor and Guillermo.Can contributors apply for more than one role?
Of course! Depending on applications, we’re going to limit roles to one per person, although mods may submit a piece on top of their other work, and artists are open to creating potential merch, or spot art. We may also accept sketches from all contributors for a sketch spread depending on how many contributors we end up having.How many contributors do you need?
An estimate of 19 artists and 6 writers, though this depends entirely on applications.How will contributors be compensated?
Ideally, a free digital and physical copy each. All contributors will receive a free digital copy of the zine regardless of sales.
Provided we break even, there will be a physical copy available for free for each contributor, although each contributor may have to pay shipping, depending on how many copies we sell.
There will also be the option open for contributors to purchase the zine at manufacturing price plus shipping if we don’t meet our sales goals.
Contributors must be willing to offer their postal address if they wish to receive the physical copy.Are other characters allowed?
Sure! The focus is entirely on Nandor and Guillermo’s relationship though. The other housemates etc are totally fine as background characters in this zine.Can I submit any works I've already completed as my zine piece?
No. Each piece must be made specifically for the zine.Can I post WIPs, stream, or sell my finished piece?
We will give you the heads-up during production about when you can post WIPs and previews. They must be 30% of the final piece or less. We will be posting previews during pre orders as well. Early stage sketches can be streamed, but we ask that in general you keep it on the DL.
Once we have distributed all purchased zines, you can post or sell your own pieces, and otherwise use your work as you see fit. We will let you know when you’re good to go.

Applicant Guidelines

Artists:Please showcase three of your best pieces in the spaces provided, and a link to your portfolio. Make sure your links are valid and can be accessed easily!At least one of your showcased pieces should have a background. At least two should be finished and coloured images.For everyone’s comfort, please avoid including anything that would need a hardcore tag on ao3, or would be commonly blacklisted. Blood and mild gore are okay; this is a show about vampires after all.Try to have at least one drawing of Guillermo and Nandor in your showcase selection or portfolio. We don’t want to see whitewashing or thinning of our faves. If you don’t have samples with these characters, make sure you’ve got some variety so we can check out how you draw different kinds of people!We will be mostly interested in your overall style but will look for drawing foundations. Anatomy, composition, backgrounds, colour. Show us your best work!Writers:Please showcase two or three of your best pieces in the spaces provided, and link to your ao3 or other writing portfolio. Make sure your links are valid and can be accessed easily!The zine will have space for approximately 3.5k words per writer. As such, we would prefer to read fics around 3.5k words or shorter.If your works are longer than 3.5k by more than 500 words, please select a chapter of a longer piece, or snippets that you think reflect your writing ability well.For everyone’s comfort, please avoid including anything that would need a hardcore tag on ao3, or would be commonly blacklisted. Blood and mild gore are okay; this is a show about vampires after all.We would like to see how you write Guillermo and Nandor. Please include a wwdits fic among your main showcases.What we most want to see in your pieces is the ability to write a compelling scene or story with limited word count. All the technicalities like spelling, grammar, and formatting can be ironed out during production of the zine; we just want to like reading what you write.
